Legal
Terms
These terms apply to Rookaby and this website. Apple and Google handle purchases in their stores. Your mandatory consumer rights always apply.
On this page
1 The short version
Rookaby is free to start. The app offers one-time purchases to unlock the content described on the purchase screen. It has no subscription. Apple or Google handles the payment and its store’s refund process. Existing purchases keep their content rights.
2 Who we are
Rookaby is provided by Oomny B.V. Its registration and address are on our legal information page. For support, write to [email protected].
3 Your licence to the app
When you get Rookaby, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use it on compatible devices you own or control, in line with the applicable platform store’s usage rules. The app, its name, design and code remain ours; please do not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute it, except where the law expressly allows.
4 Purchases through Apple and Google
Rookaby for iOS and macOS is distributed and sold through Apple’s App Store under Apple’s standard licensed-application terms, which apply to your use of the app alongside these terms. Apple is the merchant of record: Apple handles the purchase, payment, taxes and refunds. To request a refund, ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something doesn’t work and Apple says no, write to us anyway; we’d rather fix the problem.
Rookaby for Android and its in-app purchases are distributed through Google Play. Google Play handles payment through its billing system. Refund eligibility depends on the purchase and applicable rules; see Google Play’s refund policy. You can also contact us about purchase problems or a refund request. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unchanged.
One-time purchases. A purchase unlocks the content shown on the purchase screen without a recurring charge. The store displays the price before you confirm. Family Sharing applies only to eligible Apple purchases where enabled. A purchase does not transfer between Apple and Google Play. Use the restore option with the store account that made the purchase. Contact [email protected] if you need help.
5 Your data is yours
Rookaby stores progress and parent settings on your device. It has no accounts or online sharing. Our privacy policy explains the app, website and support correspondence.
6 Using this website
You may use this site for your own information. Please don’t misuse it: no attempts to break, overload, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorised access to it or to anyone’s data. The content, design, names and logos on this site are ours or our licensors’ and are protected by intellectual-property law; you may not reuse them without permission.
7 Conformity and what we can’t promise
We provide Rookaby and this website with reasonable skill and care, and keep the app in conformity with what we describe, including the updates, security updates among them, needed for it to keep working as described for a reasonable time. This is in addition to your statutory rights for digital content under EU and Dutch law.
That said, no software is perfect. Rookaby and this website are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent the law allows, not with guarantees of uninterrupted perfection. Nothing here excludes or limits any warranty or right that may not lawfully be excluded or limited, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
8 Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Oomny B.V. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Rookaby or this website, and our total liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows. This does not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, including mandatory Dutch and EU consumer-protection rules.
9 Apple
For apps obtained through Apple’s App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support; we are.
10 Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, and disputes fall to the competent Dutch courts. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country of residence always continue to apply, and nothing here removes that protection.
11 Changes
If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top.
